Cool Springs is known for it’s SUV’s and shopping malls, but if you look hard enough amongst the chain restaurants and big name shops you will find an amazing local brewery with incredible beer in the middle of it all. Let me introduce you to Cool Springs Brewery. It’s not often that you get to walk into a brewery and talk to the owner, much less have them take the time to talk to you at length about their beers and give you a personal tour. Cool Springs Brewery is owned by Chris and Jane Hartland who moved from the UK and started the first microbrewery in Williamson County. Derrick Morse is the mastermind behind the delicious selection of beer at Cool Springs Brewery.
This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but is a beer-lovers paradise once you enter the doors. The restaurant/brewery has high ceilings, a lofted space, and is decorated with flat screen televisions and tanks full of beer. They always have 7 freshly brewed beers on draft. The 3 staples of Cool Springs Brewery that you are guaranteed to always be able to enjoy are Franklin’s First, Fatback Amber, and Pecker Wrecker. They are also a full fledge restaurant specializing in pizza, a variety of American Food, and the word on the street is they make the best Fish and Chips in town. You can see their full menu here.
