Turtle Anarchy Brewing Co.

Walking into Turtle Anarchy I knew the first thing that I wanted to ask was, “How the heck did you come up with a name like Turtle Anarchy?”  The response of Mark Kamp, the president and founder,  helped everything make sense and give me a deeper respect for the awesome things they are doing at Turtle Anarchy.

“The turtle is a slow animal  and anarchy basically means revolution.  Our goal is to shift people from bland consumption based beer to hand crafted beer one beer at a time.”

Mark started home brewing in college and fell in love the art of brewing and the simplicity of using natural ingredients to create  delicious beer.  Mike Kraft is the brewmaster behind the tasty beverages at Turtle Anarchy and has been a professional brewer for 15 years earning awards from the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup during that time.

The taproom at Turtle Anarchy is simple, filled with tables to seat 6 or more,  and perfect for drinking their delicious beer.  One feature that makes Turtle Anarchy stand out against the rest comes down to three words, “family friendly brewery”.  Turtle Anarchy being family friendly  makes total sense when you consider they are located in the heart of Franklin and surrounded by neighborhoods.  It is the perfect place for parents to stop by on their way home to fill up a growler before dinner, or an even better place to head to after the kids have been out down to bed and you are craving a pint of finely crafted beer.  Turtle Anarchy even has a knitting group that meets at the taproom  once a week to knit and drink beer.  How awesome is that?!?

Another unique feature of Turtle Anarchy is that they encourage groups to bring their carry-out food to the taproom so they can enjoy their favorite food and the best beer in Franklin all in one place.  The next time you are having a hard time deciding which restaurant to eat at in Franklin or Cool Springs just tell your friends to pick up carry-out at their favorite place and meet you at Turtle Anarchy.
